WORLD BOOK DAY
World Book Day, also known as world Book and Copyright Day or International Day of the Book, is an annual event organised by the (UNESCO )United Nations Educational,Scientific and Cultural Organisation to promote reading,publishing and corporate.

April 23 was selected by UNESCO to organise world Book Day to honour many literary personalities like WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE and INCA GARCILASO DE LA VEGA, who died on April 23rd and MIGUEL DE CERVANTES on April 22.
World Book Day was celebrated for the first time on April 23rd 1995.
Each year,on 23rd April, celebrations take place all over the world to recognise the scope of books - a link between the past and the future, a bridge between generations and across cultures.
With a continued commitment to promote reading for pleasure and offer every child a book of their own, the charity has a particular focus on reaching children from disadvantaged backgrounds and its team this year is " YOU ARE A READER".
